I often say: “Be like an eagle: flying toward the sun of inner wisdom, fearless in courage, integrity, dignity, vision, loving-kindness, generosity, logic, rationality, forgiveness, and compassion to soar above any storm.” This sentiment encapsulates my belief that embracing freedom and inner peace is essential for our well-being—like breathing air and drinking water. These elements nourish our bodies and souls; without air, we cannot breathe, and without water, we cannot thrive. In the same way, freedom and inner peace serve as the lifeblood of a fulfilling existence.
Like many of you, my journey has been marked by profound moments. In 2016, my world was shaken when my husband unexpectedly succumbed to a heart attack, followed closely by my father’s passing from COVID-19. These experiences brought me to a crossroads, revealing that self-healing requires deep inner work.
Consider the image of birds trapped inside a cage. Although they have wings, they cannot fly. What happens to humans when we lack air, water, freedom, and mental liberation?
I have always felt a deep affinity for the eagle spirit. It embodies strength, power, wisdom, and the pure essence of freedom. Eagles soar high above the world, and their wings outstretched, gliding effortlessly through the vast expanse of the sky. This majestic bird is not just a creature of flight but a symbol of divine protection and spiritual guidance.
The eagle’s ability to rise above the ground is a powerful reminder of our potential to elevate our lives. When we connect with the eagle’s spirit, we recognize the strength that lies within us. Like the eagle, we can rise above challenges and see life from a higher perspective. This vantage point allows us to navigate our paths with clarity and purpose, leading us toward greater freedom and inner peace.
I remember feeling overwhelmed by the noise of daily existence. Responsibilities, expectations, and doubts weighed me down. In that moment of chaos, I sought solitude, finding a quiet place to breathe deeply and reconnect with myself. As I closed my eyes, I envisioned the eagle soaring above, feeling its strength infuse my spirit.
In that stillness, I learned that freedom is not just about physical space; it encompasses mental and emotional liberation. It is the ability to let go of what no longer serves us and embrace the present moment. Inner peace arises when we release our fears and doubts, allowing ourselves to trust the journey ahead.
As I began to embody this mindset, I noticed a significant shift in my life. I attracted opportunities that resonated with my true self, just as the eagle attracts the sun’s warmth. I realized that when we align with our inner truth, we become magnetic, drawing in experiences that nurture our spirit and foster growth.
The eagle reminds us to honor our freedom and seek the inner peace that sustains us. By tapping into its spirit, we can rise above our circumstances, gaining wisdom and clarity. Embracing this journey is a personal endeavor and a gift we can share with the world.
So, I invite you to connect with your own eagle spirit. Take a moment to breathe deeply and reflect on what true freedom means to you. Allow yourself to envision a life where inner peace reigns, you soar above challenges, and the light of wisdom guides your path. In doing so, you will discover that just as air and water sustain us, so too does the pursuit of freedom and inner peace nourish our souls, allowing us to bloom as lotus truly.
With peace, light, loving-kindness, and gratitude
