Life is full of unexpected turns, challenges, and moments of grace. Reflecting on my experiences, especially over the past few years, I realize how much faith has shaped my path as a widow raising two children and supporting my widowed mother during her illness in 2023. I have faced overwhelming obstacles, but through it all, I have come to trust that everything happens for a reason and is part of God’s plan.
In 2021, I encountered a health crisis that changed my life. As I entered menopause, I developed severe pain in my neck, shoulder, and left arm. For over eight months, the pain was unbearable, to the point where I could not sit, stand, drive, or even lie down for more than two hours at a time. Every day felt like a battle, and there were moments when I wasn’t sure if I’d ever find relief.
But amid the pain, something incredible began to happen. I learned to surrender my fear and frustration, trusting that God had a purpose, even in my suffering. The healing process didn’t happen overnight, but I felt a deep sense of peace as I let go of my need to control every outcome. Slowly, the pain eased, and I found the strength to move forward.
More recently, in September 2024, I experienced another unexpected event. I had shipped my beloved car from Texas to California, but the truck caught fire during the trip. It could have been a disaster, but the driver wasn’t seriously injured. Reflecting on the incident, I couldn’t help but see God’s hand. Even in what seemed like a setback, I found reason to be grateful—grateful that no lives were lost, grateful for the protection that was so clearly present.
This is where I have come to understand a simple but profound truth: miracles are here and now. We often think of miracles as extraordinary events distant from our daily lives, but the truth is that miracles are woven into the fabric of every moment. They appear when we open our hearts to them and choose to see the blessings in our challenges.
It is easy to feel overwhelmed by life’s difficulties and wonder why things happen the way they do. But I’ve learned that when we trust in God, the creator of the universe, we begin to see things differently. Trusting in God isn’t just about believing He exists; it’s about knowing He is actively present in our lives, guiding us, caring for us, and working all things for our good—even when we don’t understand the reasons behind our struggles.
Faith transforms everything. It doesn’t make life perfect, but it allows us to see the beauty even in the imperfections. We allow miracles to unfold unexpectedly when we surrender our fears, doubts, and anxieties. I’ve seen this in my own life time and time again. There were moments when I felt lost, unsure of how to move forward, but when I turned to God and placed my trust in Him, small miracles began to appear. A kind word from a friend, an unexpected opportunity, a sudden feeling of clarity—these moments may seem small, but they carry immense power. They remind us that we are never alone and that faith makes all things possible.
I’ve come to realize that faith is like planting a seed. At first, it might seem like nothing is happening, but the miracle is already in motion beneath the surface. It takes time, patience, and trust, but eventually, that seed grows. And before we know it, we’re surrounded by the fruits of our faith—love, peace, joy, and healing.
Forgiveness is another form of miracle that often goes unnoticed. When we trust God’s plan, we find it easier to let go of the hurts and resentments that weigh us down. Forgiveness doesn’t always come quickly, but with faith, it becomes possible. We learn to forgive others and ourselves, allowing proper healing. In many ways, forgiveness is a miracle—a gift that frees us to step into a future full of peace and happiness.
Compassion is a crucial characteristic of God, and the Bible provides many examples of God’s compassion:
– God’s compassion is always there
– God’s compassion is constant and without end, shown in suffering and joy.
– God’s compassion is connected to forgiveness and deliverance
– God’s compassion is seen in acts of forgiveness and deliverance, most clearly on the cross.
Miracles aren’t always grand, life-changing events. Sometimes, they are found in the most minor things—the sun’s warmth on your face, the smile of a loved one, the quiet strength that rises within you when you need it most. These miracles surround us every day, waiting to be seen and felt. And when we trust in God, we open our hearts to these everyday blessings.
So, if you ever find yourself struggling, wondering if things will ever get better, remember this: miracles are here and now. They are present in the most unexpected places, quiet moments, and amid life’s challenges. Trust in God, for with faith, all things are possible. When we trust Him, we see the world in a new light. We find hope where we once saw despair and feel God’s love in every breath. Let faith be your guide, and let the miracles unfold. They are already within you, waiting.
