Christmas usually brings joy and togetherness to mind. However, Christmas 2022 marked the start of my journey into self-care, self-reflection, and self-healing after experiencing heartbreak. It was an unexpected turning point that led me down a path of transformation and inner peace. Despite my initial hesitation, I attended a Christmas party as the host of a radio program called “Every Day, a Happy Spirit.” However, emotions overwhelmed me, and I left early, feeling a profound sense of loss and the weight of everything I had been carrying. That night, I retreated to my spiritual home “zen island” and began practicing self-healing and self-care.
The Healing Journey Begins
Despite my efforts, I still felt the weight of my emotions. It wasn’t until I came across a YouTube video by Jeffrey Allen, a spiritual teacher focusing on energy healing and radiating inner light, that things began to shift. His teachings resonated deeply with me, and I started incorporating energy healing into my daily practice, especially during moments of sunlight. This routine of reconnecting with myself has become the foundation of my healing, helping me embrace my pain and find a path forward.
Embracing the Inner Light
One of the most transformative lessons I’ve learned is the power of the inner light. Life’s challenges often dim our spirits, leaving us feeling lost or empty. But I discovered that each of us carries a light within—a source of strength, compassion, and resilience. Here’s how I began to nurture and radiate my inner light:
1. Self-Reflection: I took time each day to sit with my thoughts, meditate, and journal, reigniting the spark within.
2. Mindfulness: Being present in each moment helped me appreciate the beauty around me and connect deeply with my inner peace.
3. Gratitude: Even in moments of pain, finding things to be grateful for shifted my perspective and opened my heart to the light within.
Sharing the Light
As I became more connected to my inner light, I realized that healing was not just about me. It was about radiating that light outward—towards my family, friends, and the community I serve. This ripple effect of positivity and healing is powerful. When we share our light, we create a brighter, more connected world.
The Challenges and the Resilience
The journey hasn’t been without its challenges. There were times when I felt overwhelmed by grief, and life’s obstacles seemed insurmountable. But in those moments, I reminded myself to return to my practice—to retreat to my inner cave and allow myself time to heal. The key to resilience is acknowledging that setbacks are a natural part of life. Each time I’ve faced a challenge, I’ve emerged more potent, more in tune with the light that guides me.

Ultimately, the journey of self-care, self-reflection, and self-healing is continuous growth. Today, I invite you to discover your own inner light. Let your light guide you, and know you can create a ripple effect of love, kindness, and healing. We all carry the potential to be a beacon of hope—for ourselves and others. All it takes is a willingness to look inward, nurture that light, and let it shine brightly.
